It is one of the few rock gates in Ojców National Park. It is located in the Pradnik Valley and closes the gorge exit behind the Krakow Gate to this valley. Is a classic example of rock gates. The name derives from the fact that in the past it ran a trade route from Krakow to Silesia. In 1928, a commemorative plaque was built on it for the construction of a new road from Kraków to Ojców, running along the bottom of the Prądnik Valley, but due to the protests of naturalists, the plaque was removed in 1935. The Krakowska Gate columns are made of weatherproof blocks of Jurassic rocky limestone with a height of about 15 m, the left column is higher. The gate was created as a result of erosive processes, which more intensively occurred on the cracks that flowed down the water. Karst phenomena and mechanical weathering joined in later stages.
