Open-air museum, in which examples of wooden buildings characteristic of Western Lesser Poland have been collected and made available for visiting. The Vistula River Ethnographic Park in Wygiełzów is located at the foot of the Lipowiec hill, where the ruins of the castle of the same name have survived. Until the end of 2006, the institution was under the management of the Museum in Chrzanów. On December 31, 2011, by the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Museum was entered in the State Register of Museums under number 104. The exhibitions of the museum include wooden building facilities in the region inhabited by Western Cracovians, i.e. the population living west of Krakow to the Przemyśl. The ethnograd park began to be organized in 1968. The first house was moved to this area in 1970. The museum consists of 23 buildings.
